Here she shares her insider knowledge, secrets, and top tips for content creation.

How did you get into content creation?
It happened very organically on Instagram, as I instinctively posted content and brands that I loved anyway.  All of a sudden brands started approaching me, and working full time in content creation now is an absolute dream! I was recently appointed the role of Peroni New Zealand Fashion Week Ambassador for 2019 which gave me amazing access to the event and where I created loads of content while attending the shows and soaking up the atmosphere, I was truly in my element.

What has been the biggest challenge?
Finding the time to create beautiful content around looking after my two beautiful girls and the household. Some days it’s seamless and other days it’s very challenging!

How do you feel about the negativity/stigma around millennials and content creation?
I think you’ll find negativity in any industry, but it does seem as though content creators especially cop a lot of flak. However, as long as you stay authentic to your own style and patient in your path, stigma doesn’t need bother you!

Describe your style in one sentence.
Classic and luxe.

What advice would you give to someone starting out?
Post what you love, don’t worry about the following, and stay true to your aesthetic. You’ll find your feet but it doesn’t happen overnight, so work hard and stay consistent to get noticed.

What are your three best tips for creating content?

  1. Natural light and a well-thought-out composition is key to getting a beautiful photo.
  2. Stay true to your personal brand and style.
  3. Maintain a consistent look throughout your feed. For example, using the same filter will do wonders for your overall branding.

What top five skills do content creators need?

  1. A passion for creating beautiful content is a must.
  2. An eye for detail is powerful. Find the right location, put effort into your accessories, or hold a Peroni to avoid awkward poses!
  3. An understanding of photography skills helps, take tips from your favourite bloggers on what style fits your aesthetic.
  4. A good network – whether this is a friend who adopts photographer duty or who supports you through every venture.
  5. Styling skills are always a plus!

What is your biggest strength?
I’ve been told it’s my eye for detail!

What’s been the best thing?
Being able to work from home around my girls, plus all the amazing opportunities I’ve been blessed with such as my Peroni New Zealand Fashion Week Ambassador role. I was given the opportunity to meet NZFW Founder Dame Pieter Stewart, go behind the scenes at shows and meet designers, and even learn how to turn Peroni into a Spritz cocktail!

What inspires you?
Everything! Art, fashion, food, beauty, landscapes, I find inspiration everywhere!

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
Stay true to yourself! The content creation industry can sometimes get saturated, so the best way to stand out is to have your own style and own voice.
